  • A Remote Online Notary (RON) is a notary public who performs notarizations using audio-visual technology, allowing you to complete the process online from anywhere, without being physically present in front of the notary.

  • To use RON services, you must schedule an appointment with QPD Notary, upload your documents, and join a secure video conference with the notary. The notary will verify your identity and witness your signature remotely, completing the notarization electronically.

  • To use RON services, you’ll need:

    • A stable internet connection

    • A device with a camera and microphone (computer, tablet, or smartphone)

    • A valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.)

    • Access to the internet to upload and receive documents

    • A webcam and microphone for the video session

  • Yes, Remote Online Notarization is legal in Texas and many other states. QPD Notary follows all state regulations for remote notarization, including identity verification, video conferencing, and document security.

  • Identity verification is done using a combination of credential analysis (examining your government-issued ID) and knowledge-based authentication (a series of personal questions). The notary will guide you through this process during the video session.

  • Typically, the remote notarization process takes about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the complexity of your documents and the speed of the identity verification process.

  • Many documents can be notarized remotely, including contracts, affidavits, powers of attorney, and deeds. However, certain documents, such as wills and certain legal filings, may require in-person notarization. Please check with QPD Notary to ensure your document is eligible for remote notarization.

  • Yes, all remote notarization sessions are conducted using secure, encrypted platforms to protect your personal information and documents. QPD Notary follows strict guidelines to ensure your privacy and data security.

  • Currently, QPD Notary offers Remote Online Notary services for clients located in Texas. However, if you are located in another state, please check local regulations as not all states permit remote notarization.

  • The cost for Remote Online Notary services at QPD Notary is $35 per session. This fee includes the notarization of your document and any necessary identity verification. Additional charges may apply for additional signatures or documents.

  • After your Remote Online Notary session, the notarized documents will be electronically signed and sent to you via email, or you can download them directly from our secure platform.

  • Yes, you can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee. Please contact QPD Notary as soon as possible if you need to make changes.
